thinking of the traditional quilt pattern called "Postage Stamp" which
is made of up little squares.

If you've been following my blogs, you'll recognize by now that each silk accessory that I create has a name linked to a theme. Today, the silk piece presented is "Bernoulli" a large Habotai scarf stamped with a wood-block pattern and painted in shades of dark purple.
The theme connection you ask? Daniel Bernoulli born in 1700, was a Swiss mathematician who was particularly remembered for his applications of mathematics to mechanics, especially fluid mechanics, or the study of fluids in motion.
