As artists will, we are forever capturing in our mind's eye the perfect scenarios for the next project. The inspiration for this art-inspired silk shawl came to me with a flourish as I gazed upon a friend's "reflection pool". It was a perfect summer day, the sunlight playing upon the water gardens with dazzling brilliance.
And as the day progressed, the blues of the pool and greens of the lily pads began to blend together in a dreamy collage of color -- a perfect pose for Monet himself to translate and share the beauty of nature's perfection once again on canvas -- or in my case, upon a swathe of lovely crepe silk.
